I am the daughter of two antique dealers. I spent my childhood following my parents around antiques fairs and auction houses and came to love both the objects we owned for a while and the people we met. Unsurprisingly, I went on to study the History of Art and later interior design. Over the years I have become less concerned with the ornamentation in my home and more interested in the objects I use day in and day out. I take pleasure in the texture of wood, the patina of old metal and the coolness of antique linen. I love the heirlooms that have been passed down to me, the hint they give of the glamorous world of an ancestor, but I want them pared down. I want them to fit in. I want my home to feel relaxed and welcoming.
Five years ago I decided to set up my own antiques business. I love the unusual, the imperfect and the rustic. I want to see how an object has been made and imagine its past.
If you can’t find what you are looking for here call or e-mail me and I will always try to help.
Finally, I want to say a word about Kayleigh Radcliffe. Kayleigh is the wonderful artist who painted the images you see on this website. As you can see she creates witty, dark anthropomorphic images of animals. Kayleigh receives commissions for her work from throughout Europe and I was very proud when she agreed to provide the artwork for this website. Thank you Kayleigh.
